Fox 25 Boston 6/18/19: Kids cheer, parents groan as Wayland schools change start times. That giant sound of joy you might have heard around noon Tuesday was school kids across the state getting out for the summer. In at least one district, there will be a big change in the fall that is not bringing joy to some parents. Come September, school will be starting earlier for some elementary kids in Massachusetts in order to enable later start times for adolescents.
[Note: the video version of the report incorrectly states that Lincoln-Sudbury is deciding whether to change their start times. They already have voted to change their start times for 2020-21; their new times will be Elementary 7:55am, High School 7:25am, Middle School 8:30am]Copyright © 2023 WaylandeNews - All Rights Reserved.
