Upcoming Wayland Events in the Tent Cancelled

The Town of Wayland has cancelled two outdoor evening events scheduled for Thursday, Sept. 12 and Friday, Sept. 13, due to Wayland’s designation as a community at HIGH risk for the EEE virus. The Council on Aging Volunteer Appreciation Barbecue Dinner, scheduled from 5pm to 7pm on Thursday, Sept. 12, will be rescheduled for a later date. The Town Trivia Night scheduled for Friday, Sept. 13, is canceled. Both events were to take place in a large tent in the courtyard behind the Wayland Town Building.

Council on Aging volunteers who were invited to the appreciation dinner will receive information about a new date and location once those details are worked out. If you have questions, please call the COA at 508-358-2990. Thank you for your understanding.

For more information about mosquitos and EEE, and how to protect yourself, see the notice from the Wayland Health Department.
