Sudbury River Songwriter’s Evening, September 20

All are invited to the Arts Wayland Gallery in Wayland’s Town Center for the second Sudbury River Songwriter’s Evening on Friday, September 20th, at 7PM. The gallery offers comfortable seating, wonderful artwork on the walls, and a perfect environment to hear every note and lyric presented by four of Boston’s finest singer/songwriters – Lindsey Sampson, Prateek Poddar, Terry Kitchen and Kala Farnham.

Lindsey Sampson blends quiet morning folk with Southern stomp & holler for a sound with depth and energy, drawing from nature and folklore to create songs with soul and simplicity.

Prateek has been described as “Not just any guy with a guitar…” by The Boston Globe. He has been a Kerrville Folk Festival New Folk Finalist and has been nominated for Singer-Songwriter of the Year at both the New England Music Awards and the Boston Music Awards.

Terry Kitchen, called “one of New England’s best songwriters” by The Boston Globe,  performs songs that are portraits of ordinary people and emotions, captured with compassion, honesty and humor.

Armed with a voice, entourage of instruments, and faith in the power of story, Kala Farnham set out into the world with one vision: To inspire through the transformative power of musical storytelling.

Songs may range from the humorous to the emotional, but all will express their writer’s creativity and showcase their talent. Tissues and refreshments will be available. The gallery is located at 57 Andrew Ave., Wayland, MA. Tickets can be purchased in advance through www.artswayland.com/events or at the door. Doors open at 7PM.
