Sudbury-Wayland-Lincoln Domestic Violence Roundtable

Sudbury-Wayland-Lincoln Domestic Violence Roundtable is an all-volunteer nonprofit organization of men and women incorporated in 1999. The goal of the Roundtable is to raise awareness about the issue of domestic violence through community education and networking and to improve the coordination between public and private services for victims and families touched by domestic violence.

Bruce Gertz Quartet, March 22

The fifth Jazz event in this series features Bruce Gertz, Phil Grenadier, Walter Smith III, and Luther Gray. Sunday, March 22nd, 2pm to 4pm. Preceded by the March exhibit reception at 1pm. Arts Wayland Member Annual Meeting is from 12:30 to 1pm. Free admission! Donations will be greatly appreciated. Location: the W Gallery, 57 Andrew Avenue, Wayland, MA 01778

Bruce Gertz is known for his superb mastery of the upright bass and was named “Outstanding Bassist” by Boston Music Awards. Gertz has performed and recorded with artists such as Gary Burton, Jerry Bergonzi, Jon Hendricks, Diane Schuur, Gil Evans, and many others. he is the author of six books and contributing editor to Bass World Magazine. As a bandleader, Gertz has recorded more than twenty albums. His latest quartet release received four stars in Downbeat, December 2017.
