Dear Staff and Families:

I would like to update you on our beloved String and Band concerts scheduled for Tuesday (March 10) and Wednesday (March 11). Because of the unique scale and intimacy of these concerts, I feel it makes sense to postpone them. We will notify you of the new dates when they have been determined.

To be clear, there has been no change in the threat level for COVID-19 in Wayland, which remains low. This decision to postpone is made more out of a desire to ensure that all who participate, including their family and friends, will feel comfortable to attend.

Currently, we are still planning for other gatherings and domestic trips to go forward. We are working closely with the Health Department and receiving the most up-to-date guidance from the Massachusetts Department of Public Health and the Centers for Disease Control. I will notify you if our approach to trips or large gatherings changes.
