Wayland Town Crier 3/28/20: Wayland resident raises puppy to help others. National Puppy Day is March 23, a day volunteers for Canine Companions for Independence celebrate the difference they are making for a child, adult or a veteran with a disability. Canine Companions is the nation’s first and largest assistance dog organization, providing highly trained dogs free of charge since 1975. Robin Cohen of Wayland is currently raising her first puppy Zynga, an 18-month-old lab-golden cross.
