Wayland High grades won’t count toward GPA

Wayland Town Crier 5/30/20: Wayland High grades won’t count toward GPA. The School Committee last week unanimously approved a proposal from Wayland High School administrators to not count this year’s grades into the cumulative grade point average for students. Transcripts for Wayland students, which will be seen by college admissions offices, will include letter grades for the first half of the 2019-20 school year, derived from the first quarter, second quarter and midyear exam. The remainder of the school year will be graded on a pass/fail basis, depending on whether students met or exceeded expectations on tasks at least 60% of the time. Students will earn full credit for courses if they pass both semesters.
