Important Message to All Voters from Town Clerk Regarding Potential Wrong Ballot

Dear Wayland Voter:

I am writing to inform you that we believe some early voters may have received the wrong ballot.

If you have not already returned your early voting ballot, we ask that you please check to make sure that you have received the correct precinct.  The precinct is indicated in the top right-hand corner.  Wayland has two ballots, one for Precincts 1-3 and one for Precinct 4.  An image of each ballot is on-line at the wayland.ma.us/town-clerk‘s website here.

If you have received the wrong ballot, please inform the Town Clerk by email at email nov-early-voting@wayland.ma.us or by phone at 508-358-6795.  The Clerk’s Office will then mail you a replacement ballot with instructions.  You will be asked to do one of the following:

  • Return the replacement ballot in the replacement envelope.
  • Vote early in person anytime between Saturday, October 17, 2020 through Friday, October 30th in the gymnasium of Town Hall.  Voting hours are posted on the Town’s website.
  • Vote in person at your polling location on Election Day.

If you are not sure if you received the correct ballot, you may also request a replacement.  If both ballots are returned, be advised that the Clerk’s office will only count the replacement ballot.

If you have already returned your ballot and do not wish a replacement ballot, your ballot will still be counted on Election Day.  In the event the ballot returned is from the wrong precinct, your vote for all offices will still be counted, with the exception of the Office for Representative in General Court.

Please accept our apology for the error and the inconvenience.

                                                                  Very truly yours,

                                                                  Anna Ludwig, Town Clerk
