Wayland Patch 1/6/21: Another Wayland Restaurant Closes After Coronavirus Exposure. Mel’s Commonwealth Café in Wayland has closed after employees tested positive for coronavirus — the second local restaurant to close recently due to the virus. The restaurant’s owner notified the Wayland Health Department on Wednesday after the positive test results came back, according to the town. The restaurant will be cleaned, and will remain closed until at least Jan. 9.
