My COVID Experience: A Pandemic of Institutionalized Loneliness

Tuesday, April 6, 7pm, on Zoom. Wayland’s Frank Cutitta spent 100 days in the hospital last year after contracting COVID, more than 40 in a coma. Now, this health care journalist has had time to reflect on his experiences, and particularly on the loneliness he felt and observed in others. His story has been told by The Boston Globe, National Public Radio, and Northeastern University, where he teaches. Join us for this fascinating first-person account, an exploration of the emotional impact of the pandemic on patients, families, and health care providers, and a conversation about antidotes to loneliness.
