Wayland Town Crier 3/31/21: Virtual memorial service for Wayland’s Lauren Dunne Astley to be held Thursday. Lauren Dunne Astley would have turned 28 years old on Thursday. Her life was cut short by violence. Her ex-boyfriend, Nathaniel Fujita, murdered 18-year-old Astley on July 3, 2011, a crime for which he was convicted and sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole. On Thursday, the Lauren Dunne Astley Memorial Fund will hold an event to honor her.
