Martha F. Davis, an expert on local human rights, is University Distinguished Professor of Law at Northeastern University, where she is faculty director of the law school human rights program. Professor Davis is an affiliated scholar of the Raoul Wallenberg Institute of Human Rights and Humanitarian Law in Lund, Sweden. She has written widely on human rights and social justice, with work appearing in publications ranging from the Yale Law Journal to the Boston Globe. She is the co-author of the textbook, Human Rights Advocacy in the United States, co- editor of Global Urban Justice: The Rise of Human Rights Cities and co-editor of the forthcoming Research Handbook on Poverty and Human Rights.
