The Town of Wayland’s Racial Justice Advisory Committee looks forward to hosting the second event of its “Community Conversations” series on Sunday, May 2 nd from 4:00pm to 6:00 pm. In celebration of Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month, we will be hosting a virtual discussion with lifelong human rights advocate and educator, Margie Yamamoto, as she shares her experience as a survivor of a Japanese internment camp during World War II and her family’s life in the United States. We will also be joined by Terrie Livingston of the Wayland Living Experience Project to discuss her life in Wayland. Wayland resident Richard Lee will moderate a question and answer period and small group discussions will follow. This event is free to the public and all are welcome and encouraged to attend.
