Wayland Town Crier 5/23/21: Chloe Marzilli is Wayland’s little ray of sunshine. As the Wayland girls lacrosse team was finishing warming up, a little girl – joined by her dad – walked through the gate and began to make her way toward the players and coaches. That little girl was seven-year-old first-grader Chloe Marzilli, who was sporting a colorful bandana that covered her entire head. A Wayland youth lacrosse player, Chloe was diagnosed with a rare form of muscle cancer found in children called rhabdomyosarcoma on Feb. 10. [Note: a gofundme page for Chloe is available online here]
“We’re not playing for just us anymore. We’re playing for her and we’re playing for something bigger. We know there’s something bigger worth fighting for.”
