News and Events from the Wayland Library

ADULT SERVICES

  • Regular Summer Hours, Children’s Room Open. As of July 1, we’ll be on our usual summer schedule: Monday-Thursday 9 a.m.-9 p.m., Friday 9 a.m.-6 p.m., Saturday 10 a.m.-1 p.m.  Upstairs, downstairs, all around (except for the meeting room).  We ask that you mask for everyone’s well-being, and try to limit your visit to 45 minutes.  Masks are required for children 2-12.  Come on in—it’ll be good to see you.
  • Adult Craft: Agate Painting. Create a beautiful watercolor painting of an agate slice with Lisa Walker of the Pop Up Art School.  The technique of wet-on-wet watercolor and salt on wet watercolor paint is easy to learn and fun to do, resulting in a striking piece of art.  Sign up for the Zoom link and select a curbside kit pick-up time. Limit 15 people.  Tuesday, July 17 at 7 p.m. [Note: registration now closed on this event]
  • Where Are My Holds? That depends: if you want to continue picking them up curbside, simply schedule a time through the email link or call us, as you’ve been doing (same-day reservations have been discontinued).  Otherwise, we’ve restored the holds to their usual corner by the stairs when you come up to the main floor.  Once you find your hold, you can check it out yourself or we’d be happy to do it for you.  Mystery solved.
