Sudbury-Wayland-Lincoln Domestic Violence Roundtable

Sudbury-Wayland-Lincoln Domestic Violence Roundtable is an all-volunteer nonprofit organization of men and women incorporated in 1999. The goal of the Roundtable is to raise awareness about the issue of domestic violence through community education and networking and to improve the coordination between public and private services for victims and families touched by domestic violence.

Ages 2.5 to 5 years. Registration is not required. We ask that parents and caregivers participate in the storytime activities with their child or children.

Do you know someone who is learning basic English?  This beginners English conversation group meets about twice a month. It is especially good for people who do not speak English at home. This class will take place at the Cochituate Village Apartments Community Room at 106 Main Street in Wayland.

The Wayland Public Library is offering a Winter/Spring Girls Who Code club for girls in grades 3 to 5.

This club will teach basic coding in an engaging and creative way to girls in the upper elementary grades.

The club will meet Mondays, January 27 through April 13 (excluding Feb. 17 and March 30) and will be faciliated by Wayland parent volunteers.

The Wayland Library will supply laptops for the girls to use during class.

The mission of GWC is to help bridge the gender gap in technology fields.

Girls will learn basic and more advanced coding to build websites, create graphics, and design videogames.

The fall session of this club meets every Tuesday, October 15 through December 17, (except school holidays) and will be facilitated by a Wayland parent and other volunteers. Girls in grades 6 to 12 are welcome to register.  (Registration online here)

If you can, bring your own laptop, but this is not required.
