The Music Exchange Listening Room (MXLR) has recently attracted performers from as far away as Bellingham, Fitchburg, Chelmsford and Melrose. It is fast becoming recognized as an open mic with lots of talent (as well as great acoustics and comfortable seating!). We have a newly tuned baby grand piano in the space, and a wonderfully respectful audience that keeps their conversations low and applause levels HIGH! Original music is welcome and encouraged, as well as anything else that you’re into. We have a large stage and will happily accommodate acts from soloist to 5 or 6 piece bands. Teas, cider, decaf, waters, fruit, snacks and desserts are there for the taking. Donations are accepted.
MXLR is at 57 Andrew Ave., Wayland MA.

This new open mic provides performers a venue where their music will be heard, and provides those attending the ability to hear every note and lyric without being distracted by loud conversation.

Original compositions are encouraged, and we welcome musicians from all genres, including classical, jazz, and folk.

Solo and duo performances are welcome, with a maximum of three performers per act. With each two song act the audience can expect something new and different every 10-15 minutes.

Donations appreciated.
