The Music Exchange Listening Room (MXLR) has recently attracted performers from as far away as Bellingham, Fitchburg, Chelmsford and Melrose. It is fast becoming recognized as an open mic with lots of talent (as well as great acoustics and comfortable seating!). We have a newly tuned baby grand piano in the space, and a wonderfully respectful audience that keeps their conversations low and applause levels HIGH! Original music is welcome and encouraged, as well as anything else that you’re into. We have a large stage and will happily accommodate acts from soloist to 5 or 6 piece bands. Teas, cider, decaf, waters, fruit, snacks and desserts are there for the taking. Donations are accepted.
MXLR is at 57 Andrew Ave., Wayland MA.
Upcoming dates are November 12 and November 26
Music Night at the Burr is back! We had a terrific October night and if last year is any predictor, we’ll have fun filled nights from November on. ‘The Burr’ is the 19th hole lounge at Sandy Burr C.C. and has a wonderfully stocked bar, as well as comfortable seating and a relaxing atmosphere. Performers can expect a fun crowd that appreciates a good song and a great sing-a-long! All genres of music are welcome here. It’s a snug stage area, but we can fit in up to 5/6 performers.   Upcoming date is November 20

For both open mics we welcome all ages 14+, doors open at 7:30, music begins at 8 and we wrap up before 11. We pass the hat each night, since these are voluntarily run events, and thank you in advance for your support!
