Wayland Town Crier 9/12/12: Framingham Town Meeting rejects chemical measure. Special Town Meeting on Monday slammed resident Steve Hakar's bid for the town to strictly control how chemicals are put down on properties.
Members rejected Hakar's citizen petition 110-0, calling it a poorly written article that they feared could backfire and cost the town millions of dollars.

Wayland Board of Selectmen set special Town Meeting date
Wayland Board of Selectmen set special Town Meeting date. A frustrated Board of Selectmen on Monday night reviewed a petition from a Framingham resident for a special Town Meeting to be held in Wayland this fall, opening the warrant for the meeting through next Tuesday, September 4 at 4:30pm. Town boards and committees and petitions from citizens containing at least 100 signatures may be submitted to the Board of Selectmen’s office to add to the warrant.
